Networking vintage G5 (OS X 10.3.9) to Win7 64-bit issues

All,

I'm trying to network my vintage G5 running 10.3.9 to my Windows 7 64-bit machine. I've "googled" 'till my eyes glaze over....

At this point I know I'm close. The G5 can see my windows machine in the 'finder' window and when I click on the connect button I get "SMB/CIFS Filesystem Authentication" screen. I've tried all my passwords and user names but I still get the "The alias "(user name)" could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found" screen.

I'm pretty sure I've got my Win7 machine set up correctly but I've been known to be wrong in the past.......
