Networking With External Drives

I have an external Firewire drive, connected to my mac and formated with FAT32, and I want to share it across the Network. I have all my music, movies, and downloads stored on them. I set up windows file sharing and login in to my mac from my xp laptop. I can't see the drives when I browse through the files, but I can see every other file. I tried to make an Alias of the drive but windows doesn't know what to do with the Alias.

I downloaded Share Points from VersionTracker and with it I can allow my husband to search my external via his PC. Should work for you, too.
