so, i backed all my stuff from my ibook onto my cube ready for a fresh install of OS X, i pop in my 10.3 disks (my 10.4 disk has a fat off scratch on it and messed up my ibook thus the need for the clean install) and proceed to wipe my g4 cube clean eraseing all my data, seriously, i'll never do an OS install past 12 ever again.
so anyway, a quick go with data rescue x recovered all my stuff but my dads user account is file vaulted and thus is a 20GB .sparseimage and because it's encrypted data rescue x thinks that it's currupt and spurts an error,
, anyway, what i'm getting at is i'm boned and i need a data recovry app that will recover data no questions asked and just lift what it finds, stellar Phoenix looks promiseing but i cant find it anywhere and it's expencive, i may end up buying it online but that woudl take a while as recently my dads credit card got eaten by a cash machine (got it mixed up with his debit card.....).
so, any ideas?
