None of the other forums seems right to post this, so I thought I'd share here.

If you receive Best Buy Student Discount coupons, or if you have someone to give you one of the coupons, they have a SMOKING deal going on right now.

The Beats By Dre Beatbox Portable Speaker which MSRP's for $399 is on sale at BB right now for $249. Then when you apply the $200 off student coupon, it brings the price down to $50+tax! Sure it is a slightly older model (STILL HAS 30PIN Dock), but it is still great for the price!

Interesting. I tried using the Student Discount code on this one, and instead of dropping the price TO $50, it reduced the price BY $50 - to $199.99. Even though the coupon said "$200 off", it was not the case - perhaps because it’s a closeout/sale item.

It's not another $200 off via coupon. The speakers are currently being marked as $150 off, with the coupon adding another $50 for a total of $200 off regular price.

So it's actually $199 + tax.

Sorry. Guess I jumped the shark. I didn't actually try the coupon. After further investigation, the coupon says "Savings taken from regular price."

I have used the Macbook coupons in the past and those can be taken after the sale price.
