Decided I'm not upgrading to the 12, and instead I'm going to replace my X with either a brand new 11 (now that the price has dropped), or an excellent condition XS (with 100% battery and one year warranty).

Which would you go for?

11 positives: Larger screen, newer, will still have Apple warranty
XS positives: better screen, smaller form factor, slightly more premium finish, cheaper.

Thanks

Go for the 11. These last few iPhone refreshes are all about the camera. I think you'd be missing out a lot if you went with the Xs.

(If you don’t care about camera), I’d personally go for the XS. Because the screen matters to me, I can detect a clear difference across the entire interface between my XR and my 11 pro. How’s the battery on the XS though?

I’d choose 11 for the battery/camera. Also a year of extra updates, a13 etc.

I was in the same boat 8 months ago, I went with the XS Max. It was cheaper than the base 11 too. But I got mine certified pre owned because I’m extra cheap but I swear it was brand new. For me 256gb with oled vs 64gb lcd at a steeply discounted price was a no brainer. A12 vs A13 meh.. a whole second faster.
