Hi,

Got my first Mac on Thursday, 13"MBP, and really love it.

BUT...could do with some advice with the sleep function. Twice now I've been looking on the internet and then gone away for a few minutes.

When I return the screen is off but a quiet noise coming from the machine suggests it's gone to sleep. I've tried clicking the mouse, space bar and tapping the power button...but it doesn't wake up.

I tried double tapping the power button...no joy...so i held it down. It then rebooted.

I'm guessing this isn't normal?

Out of interest, to get the Mac out of sleep, should I just press the power button once?

Bit more information, the battery had less than an hour left the most recent time this happened, could this have something to do with it? (even though I'm typing this on the same charge)

Any help appreciated.

Sounds like it have ran out of battery as it should wake up when you press a button. Have you calibrated it? Try fully charging it and then letting it to go sleep and see if it works
