Hi all

I will soon be in the market for a new macbook pro. I am looking for a machine to be my main/only computer for the foreseeable future, probably at least the next 5 years or more. I have always wanted to have a 15 inch machine as I do a lot of music score writing and the extra screen space is great to have, however I'm concerned about buying a machine that isn't the latest model as I don't want it to feel old and slow prematurely. I am worried that if I buy a 2015 15inch that in 5 years time it will be really struggling. Is that true? I can't afford a new 15 inch so I would be looking at a current 13 inch as an alternative, and might invest in an external monitor when working at home.

Not really bothered about other trinkets like touch bar etc. Just want a machine that will do its job without fuss and last a long time

Thanks all
