The updated 14-inch MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Vision Pro models with the M5 chip are available to purchase at Apple Store locations and select resellers starting today.

The key change across all three devices is the M5 chip, for faster performance.

The updated 14-inch MacBook Pro base model also offers up to 2× faster SSD read and write speeds compared to the equivalent previous-generation model.

The twice-as-fast SSD speeds extend to the new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models, which also received Apple's custom N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support, Apple's custom C1X modem for cellular configurations, the ability to drive external displays at up to a 120Hz refresh rate, and faster charging capabilities (up to 50% in 30 to 35 minutes).

The updated Vision Pro gained 120Hz support, up from the previous 100Hz limit, and it ships with a more comfortable Dual Knit Band with tungsten counterweights.

At all Apple Store locations where the Vision Pro is available, customers can now demo the updated model with the M5 chip, and try the Dual Knit Band.

Let me warn you: iPad Pro M5 13" portrait mode bottom right corner screen pops/clicks when pressed.

neither are major enough updates for buying new units. m4 to m5 mainly gpu updates and even the reviews don't pop to huge upgrades with m5.

Micro Center has them too at $160 off retail.
I don't see them on the website so I guess it's only some locations. I'm planning to stop by my local Micro Center tomorrow. Does Micro Center carry any factory upgraded models (extra ram or SSD) or can I only get those direct from Apple?

It’s been my experience that you don’t see improvements with just an update as the code its running doesn’t enable the new features of the chip. It’s only after the developer provides a M5 specific build that the full performance improvements can be realized.

To everyone getting the new devices, enjoy them. For M4 iPad Pro users there seems to be no reason to upgrade. Even MacBook users with their devices having a M series chip can wait it out till M6 launches with the redesign and all the improvements.

Less and less country's are selling the vision pro. For the first one i had to drive 850 km to get one. Spend 5000.- and as thanks apple now says "put it in the dustbin, we wont take it back and you wont get updates anymore eigther"
Steve is seasick in his grave, from roling around and around. His "follow up" did nothing more then, every year, selling his apple shares and raising prices.

There are twelve available at the Denver Micro Center. I have seen then stock more than the base configurations. For example they have a 16" MacBook Pro M4 Max 16-core, 128GB RAM, 4TB SSD available. There are several more.

If they don't have the specific configuration you want I believe they can order any configuration Apple makes available.

Let's not rewrite history. Steve was responsible for some incredibly expensive failures (all 2x more expensive than AVP when adjusted for inflation) such as Lisa, Apple 3, Cube and even original Macintosh which wasn't considered a success until many years later - which Apple Vision Pro could be considered in time.
