Here is a translation of the german article:

The french portal "MacBidouille" reports, that the successor
of the PowerBook G4 Titanium is close to be released. Apple
has announced lately - on a press conference about the last
business results - that the 15,2 Inch PowerBooks in the noble
Titanium-Outfit are still very popular.

According to the informations from france the stock is running low,
however and the successor model will be released at the end of
may with aircraft aluminium case.

The size of the display is increased from 15,2 to 15,4 Inch
and the resolution will be higher.
The new models will feature:

Bluetooth,
higher clockspeeds,
Ultra-ATA/100 Drive Controller,
FireWire 800.

etc.

I think apple will start with the ppc 970 in PowerMacs and
we will see a powerbook with ppc 970 next year.

It went from French to German to English. Do you expect it to make sense?

I think the point is clear enough:
no ppc 790 in the upcoming pb, sorry
(according to the rumor).

Well, it's a pity. I would be the
first to buy a powerbook with the
cpu from big blue.

I can't find this on MacBidouille at all.

You are right. I haven't found it either.
And even more strange:
MacBidouille has posted a rumour
before, that apple is allready testing ppc
970 in powerbooks.

I haven't claimed the rumor is right, but
I found it interesting and reasonable.

I think it makes sense for apple to first
release the powermac with the ppc 970.
Who would buy an 17'' powerbook with
G4, if there is a 15'' powerbook with ppc 970?

there have been a few other rumors about the 15.4" screen, so i'm not so surprised about that.

but being released by the end of this month? they seem to be sure of that... but it does seem to be too unexpected, although other sites have rumored for the same date, but i haven't heard anything about that for a while.

then again, it is in Apple's style to really surprise us with releases like that.

i hope it's true!! :D
