Hi everybody,

It's been 5 days enjoying my retina after struggling for years with a severely limited older Macbook. I thought all my problems were gone but then one of those dreaded kernel panics showed up on me while I was doing basic image editing with the Preview app. It's one of those that shuts the screen fray with a warning in various languages.

I now have sent a copy of the report to Apple, and preserve a copy that I think some of you might be able to decipher and help me get an idea of what is wrong here. Before I copy the report, is it safe to post this info publicly on this forum?

If its the only one that occurred, I'd not worry about it.

Also, I wouldn't expect apple to get back to you, if you use their automated process of sending crash logs.

I'd really try to stress the computer, loading lots of apps into memory and seeing if you can repeat it, i.e., make sure its not a hardware issue like memory.
