Just bought Base 15 rMBP late 2013.

Machine screams.

Only issue ? is when the machine boots to the initial screen, either logon screen, or desktop if I disable login is slightly "choppy".

I know that sounds paranoid, but my 2013 MBA does not do this and neither does my original rMBP that I use at work.

Issue or is this normal ?

It's normal because so many pixels have to be driven in a retina display.

My 15" rMBP (2.6/16/1TB/750M) doesn't have this problem though as it uses the GT750M card to get to the login screen. For Macs with dGPUs, the dGPU is used to get to the login screen and only switches to the Iris Pro upon reaching the desktop.

Both my 13" rMBPs have the choppy animation effect when reaching to the login screen, but not to the desktop.

Thanks, everything else is smotth as butter.

Scored the Samsung SSD.

I **think** LG monitor A019 panel ???

Is that a rev1 or rev2 LG ?

Panel OK ? Looks great.

I actually had the same exact problem..took it to apple and they replaced the screen last week and working just fine now

So you think I have a HW issue.

Others thought just nondedicated CPU.

Everything else is smooth.......
