Hey all,

I clicked on an ad in Facebook that linked to a business called "Kodiak Computers" that sells apple stuff super cheap apparently... But it's almost so cheap I can't believe it's real. I'm posting the link to a MacBook 16 supposedly brand new for only $1559. Has anyone heard of this site? Is it legit?

Of course they’re not legit. If it sounds too good to be true, odds are it probably isn’t. And taking all of five minutes to look over the various pages on their website should make anyone raise their eyebrows.

They’ve only been around since April, as was their domain registration. But they have three offices in major metropolitan business districts with sky high rents. Extremely scant when it comes to details. Different phone numbers. Shipping page talks up how shipping is badly delayed because of COVID-19 and everything is done through the post office. They literally say don’t be surprised if your package gets lost or misdirected and they’re not responsible. How convenient for them after they have your money.

Oh, and the shipping page also calls themselves Element Vape.

A fool and his money are soon parted. Please don’t be a fool.

thanks haha, ya you're obviously right. I was noticing the same things after I looked more into it after posting. I guess I'm surprised that Facebook allows targeted scams on their platform, but maybe I shouldn't be lol.

Thanks!

OMG... that's hysterical!

It is. I get the feeling that they’re wanting to take advantage of people using the current climate as a cover of sorts. Delay in shipping your product? Sorry, COVID. USPS lost or misdirected your package? Sorry, COVID. Etc.

Hopefully nobody fell for it.
