New 16” MBP charging question with dock connected

So I just got the new OWC Thunderbolt dock for my Mac Mini that I also want to use on my new laptop when it arrives. Question is, it offers 96w power to charge the device. What will happen if I have both the dock and MagSafe connected at the same time? Is there a way to turn off power on the thunderbolt ports?

It will only use one source for power. In this case I believe the MagSafe will take priority, and the Thunderbolt connected to the dock will simply be used for data.

Right, the higher-powered source takes priority.
