Hello everyone!
I have an early 15' Macbook Pro 2.2Ghz and i decided to update my RAM from 4gb to 16gb 1600 mhz Corsair Vengeance.
Im using Mountain Lion and everything was ok till i changed my ram.

There are no kernel panics and no problems at all on my mac os if I'm using the integrated graphic card, but if i change it to the dedicated HD 6750M , or if it changes by itself, after a few seconds or minutes i just get a kernel panic.

For example, i opened Safari and i decided to watch a video on youtube. I just got this kernel panic:

The thing is, my computer recognizes the ram ( 16gb 1600mhz ) and everything is so nice...only if i use the integrated graphic card...

Another important thing is : I have no problems if im using Windows 7 64bits with Bootcamp, i can play , watch movies , everything and it also recognizes 16gb 1600mhz.

I really need your help guys ! Because i only have a few days till i can exchange it with the Corsair Mac memory 16gb 1333mhz :/

Thanks in advance!

If it also helps,

Im on safe mode, watching videos on youtube for 30min already and there are no crashes at all...

So it means that the problems are on the 3rd party software that i may have installed?

Probably.

Start by removing these (and the software that uses them):

com.vara.driver.VaraAudio 1.0.3
net.telestream.driver.TelestreamAudio 1.0.5

Will do that right now!

What about this one:
com.logmein.driver.LogMeInSoundDriver 1.0.0

Should i delete it aswell?

Not yet. I would start with those first two, as they are directly related to each other based on a quick Google search I did.

See if removing those two helps first. If it doesn't, then uninstall LogMeIn.

This :

com.rim.driver.BlackBerryUSBDriverInt 0.0.67

Someone else had a problem with the blackberry USB driver.

Make sure it's updated to the latest version.

Also is it an early 2011 15" MBP ? If so Apple specs say 1333Mhz memory. Not 1600Mhz.

I dont know why do i have blackberry drivers on my mac, since i never sync any blackberry with it !

I will delete them and i hope that it helps!
Will give you guys a feedback in some minutes!
Thanks a lot

Just had another KP, but i still didnt delete those kexts, trying to do that!

Now there is another one:
com.bresink.driver.BRESINKx86Monitoring 8.0

How is this even possible to appear if i didnt install anything right now?

I don't keep any third-party kernel extensions on my system if I can help it. Sometimes, you need them to do your job, though.

My recommendation is that if you can do without it, or find an alternative package that doesn't involve installing kernel extensions, then do that instead.

Boot in Safe Mode to do the uninstall of the kexts.

That latest one is probably for this package: http://bresink.com/osx/SystemMonitor.html

Well the only monitoring program that im using is : istats

Strange...

Im botting now on safe mode, will try to uninstall them all!

Will give you guys my feedback.
Thanks one more time! Im nothing without you.

Did you buy your system used with OS X already on it, or let somebody use your system for a period of time? If so, that stuff could be left over cruft from the previous owner/user.

No, i bought my mac right when it shipped on my country.
And im the only one who uses it.

Im on the safe mode right now, it never crashes here!
Full memory is recognized and with 1600mhz! And im using the dedicated graphic card wich crashes my mac on normal boot.

Im on the extension folder. Im kinda confused since i dont have any blackberry app or Bresink ( System Monitor ) app ;o
Im just uninstalling every single app that im not using anymore with the appZapper.

Any advice on how should i delete those kexts from blackberry etc etc?

I think i fixed the problem!!

Im not crashing anymore ( atleast for now , 20min already on normal boot ) !

I deleted those apps plus those kexts and i think that gfxcardstatus was destroying my mac aswell!

Thank you all, i hope that its really fixed !

For peace of mind, running the AHT (press D before the system chimes on power-on) or memtest is probably not a bad idea.

To be absolutely certain that you got all the remnants of that software removed, a reformat of the "Macintosh HD" volume, followed by a reinstall of OS X would need to be done.

However, if you run fine for the next day or so without issue, then I wouldn't worry about it.

I used memtest and there were 0 errors.
Im now running the AHT , the basic one is taking so long... Maybe its because i have a big memoy (16gb ).
Bt before i go to sleep, i ll do an extended one.
Lets see!
thanks again duervo! I ll let you know when the AHT is over.

Memory is not compatible.I had the same issue with vengeance.I also tested with memtest and mac testing tools with 0 errors, but the reason is remained obvious.Everything worked great until i changed memory.I returned original memory which arrived with mac and KP stopped.I swapped vengeance with OWC 16 gb ddr3l 1600 mhz and since then, not a single kernel panic.

Thanks again for all your help guys!

Well i decided to return the corsair vengeance cuz i was still getting KP from time to time, not always like some days ago, but still one or two.

But i already went for th e corsair mac memory 16gb 1333mhz before i saw your reply Giuly!

Anyway, i think that i wont have any problems now, or i would go crazy :p

Really, 1600 MHz memory is only compatible with macs announced on June 2012, his was a 2011 which only supports 1333 MHz. I am guessing that you have a 2011 model? I put corsair vengeance memory in mine (16 GB 1600) and it worked and still does after a couple of months, but mine is a 2012 model. I have never gotten a kp on this Mac.

Are you using Corsair Vengeance RAM by any chance? I purchased a set before, kernel panic city. Sent it back and got another set, still kernel panics galore.

Swapped it for a set of Kingston HyperX and no problems at all.
