New 17" macbook pro- Any Idea When?

Hi, basically I need a macbook 17" for when I go Australia for 2 months. I am leaving on the 14th of January 09 and was wondering if any of you guys think apple will have released the new 17" macbook by then?

Also when apple release macbooks, do they ship straight away or will I have to wait?

Baiscally what are the chances of me getting hold of a new macbook 17" before the 14th of January?

Any help appreciated.

youre much better off getting the current one and avoiding the problems of the rev A

Maybe at MacWorld 2009, which is in early January usually before the 14th.
If the 17 inch is updated you may only have to wait a few days in order for it to be in stores.
The new MacBooks were in stores a day after being announced.
