I've had my MBP since 24th & it's been beautiful & perfect until yesterday (when I most needed it!). It was turned off in its sleeve overnight, not charging, & then wouldn't start. Applecare advice (after assuring him no-way could/would I disconnect the battery!) a ctrl, cmd, P, R, key press & restart resurrected it.
Worked perfectly on train down to London, tube & another train journey-then kaput & resurrection impossible for my 'most-needed' meeting.
Applecare again last night & disk & C & D key depression-nothing worked-it kept going to black screen with sleep-light on front glowing bright & dimming-so kaput. Appointment made this pm with Apple genius to repeat tests & probably send for repair-DO NOT want to be without if for Friday deadline.
However, tried it again last night & back to 'beautiful & perfect' as it still is as I'm using it now! Applecare today said take it to store Genius, but would prefer not to lose working time this afternoon. I have 3 questions: What would you do & is there anything I can do, use software or whatever to make sure this doesn't happen again, might a shake-up in train or tube have caused problems-'precious' was in sleeve & heavily-padded bag worn next to me.
My inclination now is 'if it ain't broke-don't fix it' but any information or advice would be great. As may be obvious I'm not a 'techie' & also pretty new to Macs. (It's standard other than 2.93 & 7200 & bought direct from Apple UK).
