new 20" iMac screen brighter than old 20" iMac?

So I was just at Best Buy and they had the new 20" iMac with 9400 graphics card right next to the older 20" iMac with the 2600 Pro card.

The new one seemed noticeably brighter. Anybody else see these iMac right next to each other and notice the same thing?

I am still on the fence over which one to get and I am holding off until Barefeats get a hold of the new ones. I trust their benchmarks over everbody else.

I agree with you but when you are in an office or something with one or the other, you will not notice a difference, so it renders it irrelevant in that sense but yeah i agree with what you say, its definately brighter... but then again, my older imac has to have the brightness at about 80% because its already so much brighter then any pc so whichever way you go its fine
