Could there be a new 2012 MacBook? Well we know that Apple is probably never going to be going back to the plastic Macs, however who said that we can't make a new aluminum design?

$899 - $999?

What do you think? You know, for the people who don't want an untraportable, but who don't need a real professional laptop, but still want an outstanding computer.

The nVidia 9400m graphics are 3-4 years old... the current Intel graphics beats it.

The only hope for a MacBook revival that could possibly happen is if Apple takes the Air off the MacBook Air name when they reshape their lineup in 2012.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro is pretty much the Macbook, since that's what it literally became.

Some changes

Let's forget everything I had just said.
Let's take the latest white MacBook (Before it was discontinued), and put in the exact same specs.

Then we can give it the design in my picture. I mean think about it. If you want a cheap Mac laptop, you don't always want an 11 inch computer right?

The MacBook Air replaced the MacBook...that is good, they are the same price but...the MB was $999 with a 13" screen. The MBA is $999 with an 11" screen....

I like the idea but don't think it would happen

The 11" air has the same resolution as the macbook, so although its physically smaller, you can fit just as much on the screen. I think its a pretty good replacement.
