New 2016 Macbook Pro Not Charging

I heard a pop on my brand new MacBook with touchbar and it started to smell like smoke. I called Apple and they said this is a known issue... after spending over 3k on a laptop this sucks. They said its a known issue and are sending me a new laptop...no ETA yet.

Anyone else experience this?
