What, 16GB RAM is the max? No 32GB RAM option??
[doublepost=1478002142][/doublepost]I found this...

The true reason behind the lack of 32gb or ddr4 is intel. Skylake does not support LPDDR4 (LP for low power) ram. Kabylake is set to include support, but only for the U category of chips. So no LPDDR4 support for mobile until 2018 I think.

LPDDR4 is indeed not supported by Skylake chips, but by using LPDDR3 instead, Apple could have still put 32 GB in its notebooks or not? Regardless of the optimal battery life argument, that is.

32GB ram is coming in late 2017. Just announced today.

Oh...prices dropping too. :mad:

You can't make a thinner computer without gimping performance in some way. Not having a lot of ram still lets you have a powerful computer, you just can't do too many things at the same time. Apple can't be relied on to maintain any product line, it will always be thinner and less performance.
