Hi Folks,
I will replacing my late '08 15" Unibody C2D 2.8 with a new 27" i7 with 8 Gig RAM. New computer should be at my house tommorow....Yay Me!

Quick question though on transferring over files (Pics, Movies, iTunes, Applications, Files, etc.) from the old lappy to the new iMac. I know you can do this fairly simply via Migration Assistant. However, I understand you can do it directly by connecting the two Macs via Firewire, Ethernet or Wireless or you can do it through a previous Time Capsule Back Up.
So my question is...should I use Migration Assistant via direct Mac to Mac connection or through Time Machine.... Is there a difference?
Thx all
