Hi Folks,

I will replacing my late '08 15" Unibody C2D 2.8 with a new 27" i7 with 8 Gig RAM. New computer should be at my house tommorow....Yay Me! :D:D:D

Quick question though on transferring over files (Pics, Movies, iTunes, Applications, Files, etc.) from the old lappy to the new iMac. I know you can do this fairly simply via Migration Assistant. However, I understand you can do it directly by connecting the two Macs via Firewire, Ethernet or Wireless or you can do it through a previous Time Capsule Back Up.

So my question is...should I use Migration Assistant via direct Mac to Mac connection or through Time Machine.... Is there a difference?

Thx all
