New guy here.
I’ve been waiting for this update for some time. The primary reason was that I do, sometimes, a good deal of video editing in addition to work on RAW files. I was for one concerned about initial reports I read when the rImac first came out that the video card wasn’t up to snuff. Secondly it seemed that the processor didn’t have the I/O power to be able to hook a second 4k or 5k display (once they became available (other than the dual connection dell)). I recall reading about the Intel Skylake chipset when it was first announced and that it was able to output UHD resolutions. I see that this 27” iMac has that chipset and also has Thunderbolt 2. If I bought this 27” iMac loaded would it be able to output to the “eventual” 5K Thunderbolt display? Also, is this video card any better or is it just a rebadged card? Will it handle the Adobe suite as far as RAW editing and video editing.
Thank you!
Best,
Gene
