I know this has been discussed a month ago it seems, but i cant seem to find a definitive answer..Does anyone know the upgradability of the new iMac, specifically i want to upgrade the ssd on my own, does anyone know for a fact if you can do this or not

Every thing is doable, though some people decide to take the risk and some won't.

It seems to be a simple process in the only annoying part is the tape, but not the end of the world.

hopefully in the next couple days we should have some one show a tear down.

if not monday we will be doing two 27" ssd upgrades we will take heaps of photos

Indeed! OWC sells a kit with the tape now, so that's the only part that I need to see addressed. The replacement of the internal drive would be a cinch with the correct tape in place. Apparently the old tape doesn't even leave residue, so really the only think I need to know about is that darn tape!
