I'm replacing the stock 1TB Seagate HD in my iMac with a 2TB drive and wanted opinions on which drive to get:

Seagate Barracuda XT 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache
---or---
Western Digital 2 TB Caviar Black SATA 6GB/s 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache

My existing Seagate drive makes horrible clicking sounds and I've always had good experiences with Western Digital so definitely leaning that way.

Anyone had experiences with either of these drives?

Thanks

Seagate. Any HDD is subject to clicking sounds. Which one has the better warranty?

My 500 GB WD Caviar Black I just installed in my MBP is completely silent, no clicking sounds whatsoever.

My 1TB Seagate in my iMac is horrendously loud!

Both have 5 year warranty.

Just installed the WD Caviar Black on my Mac Pro at work...seems to run pretty silent. Seagate 1TB on my iMac at home is a loud sucker! Would recommend the WD...

I can only vouch on "noise" level, not reliability.
