New 3G from Bangkok

Guys,
I just upgraded my 2G iPhone to a new 16GB 3G iphone here in Thailand, my question is my new iPhone came unlocked and with a Turbo sim installed. it works perfect except that it came with 10 pages of icons (games , games and a whole bunch of crap) well crap to me so what I want to do is restore my new 3G iPhone and just go with the regular icons.
Can I do this without F$%£^&£G up my phone?????

Good Question. The phone is probably jailbroken to accept unsigned apps.
Do this.
1. Restore to latest firmware. It will bring your iphone back to factory (unjailbroken)
2. Download quickpawn, to jailbreak the phone
3. Use Cydia to download openssh
4. Update Mobile Installation

Done. These steps will get you to a clean jailbroken phone. Good Luck. Search around for instructions. There are tons of them.
