i'm a new 3g owner and i just wanted to make two comments. first, i love the service at the apple store! i've never experienced such helpful friendly service in a computer/phone store in my life. they're all knowledgeable and they even volunteer to help with things like installing new gadgets. the other thing i wanted to mention was an unanticipated benefit to the iphone. i like to keep my phone on the passenger seat while i'm driving. my 3g is the first one ever that stays put and doesn't fly off on the floor!

That surprises me what with its glossy plastic back cover
Maybe he put the rubber case on it.

I had a good experience at the Apple store also. Except they wished my "Happy Holiday" instead of MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I'm a stickler for that as I believe if you are going to use Christmas decorations and color schemes in you business, then you had better wish me MERRY CHRISTMAS.

What other Holiday uses those decorations and color schemes? NONE! :p

So if you want to say "Happy Holidays" then I had better see some Hanuka and Kwanzaa stuff put up.

I noted all this in the comments section when I did my online survey a few days ago.

I'm pretty sure the 3G's back is more ergonomic and less slippery in hands and on leather compared to the first Gen.

^ That may well be the case (no pun intended!), anyway, congrats...I'm very pleased you're happy with your purchase :)

I've had great service from folks at the Apple Store. I wonder how different the experience will be when Wal-Mart starts selling them.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Christmas celebration is a stolen act from Pagan religions. Christmas is the Christian celebration of the Winter Solstice (also known as Yule). These two holidays merged during the periods of one religion being "forced" onto others, they had to keep holidays similar to lessen the transition period. Enough of the history lesson. Enjoy your holidays, and Merry Christmas!

There. You're covered.

No bubble burst here, I knew all that already.

Still doesn't take away from what I said about the companies that say "Happy Holidays" yet decorate with Christmas stuff. You know as well as I that they do it for one reason only.......to be politically correct.

Stupid politically correctness. :p
