iPod touch New 3G Touch's glass feels somewhat inferior to the 2G's glass

My previous 2G Touch's glass screen felt very silky smooth especially after I cleaned the screen + washed my hands.

But, my 3G Touch's glass feels somewhat less silky smooth even after I clean it and wash my hands. Also, I think it's more prone to fingerprints and smudges.

Does the new touch also have that coating? I actually like my 3gs glass more than my 3g. Except that it scratches easier.

The touch doesnt have the oleo-phobic (sp?) coating the 3GS has.

I have all three touch generations and the second and third gen have identical glasses. Can't compare my first gen because it has always been covered with a Bodyguardz screen film (but I like naked screens better).
