just got my new 3gs yesterday, should i restore from backup from old 3g, or set up as new phone, when connecting to itunes Thanks....

It's up to you. I had some issues with poor battery life I was hoping could be attributed to something inside my 3G backup I was using, so today I set it up as a new phone as a test. Take it with a grain of salt.

allready restored from backup,should i go back to i tunes and set up as a new phone, and if i do a sync will restore my contacts right... THANKS im new

If you set it up as a new phone you'll lose all the app data that the backup contains, including but not limited too:

World and alarm clocks
Message (SMS/MMS) logs
Weather cities
Stock tickers
YouTube favorites
Recent calls
Phone favorites
What was last in your App Store, iTunes, and Safari address and search bars
Safari history
