My iPod Touch 2nd's Home button is not working, and I've upgraded it to iOS 4.1, since I'm making iPhone apps, so I need to have a device with iOS 3.x for testing purpose, I found someone selling NEW iPod Touch 8GB 3rd Gen on eBay, I wonder which iOS version is it running by default? I asked the seller and they said it's never been opened, so it should have default version. I think it should be 3.1.x, but I'm not sure. Can someone confirm this?

Thanks a lot!

Just a thought, an 8GB 3Rd gen is identical to a 2nd gen, so NO multitasking.

Only the 32/64GB 3rd gen has 256mb of ram and Multitasking,.

Yes that is what I need for testing, I've got a 4th Gen iPod Touch for multitasking/game center/etc testing.

Thanks!
