New 4S - People Can Barely Hear Me

I only made a few phone calls after setting up the iPhone yesterday...so it may not have been noticed, but today I seem to have a problem. I've made and received multiple phone calls today and everyone is telling me that I sound extremely quiet. Even with the phone pointed directly at my mouth, it's not improved.

Anyone else have this problem?

I've had that problem as well. was using speakerphone, but was putting my phone within 5 inches of my mouth

try recording yourself with voice memos.. if you have trouble hearing yourself the mic maybe broken. Try with the external also (headset)

Did you take the clear plastic wrap off the phone?

Sure do have this same problem. When I hold the phone a certain way, my gf can hear me.. and sometimes she says I sound like I am a mile away from the phone. I can't believe these problems.. Between this, battery drain issue and the lack of a 3G switch, I think I am sticking with the IP4.

I am having trouble hearing people using the phone placed to my ear.....it is unbearably quiet!
