New 8.3 emoji on Watch

My Watch isn't showing the new 8.3 emoji in iMessage. I get the weird alien. Anyone else experiencing this?
 
The Watch is currently based on iOS 8.2, so we will likely not see the new emojis until Apple releases a software update.
