I have an old Seagete USB-hard drive, that I've been using as a Time Machine drive for years. I was planning to use it to transfer my stuff from my old (2018) Air to my new one. The problem is, the new Air won't mount it if there's a data on the drive.
I tried mounting it empty, works just fine. But when I backup my old Air on to it, it refuses to mount on the new one. It mounts just fine on the old one. I've tried encrypted and unencrypted. I've tried waiting 1+ hrs, but no. Disk utility sees it, but won't mount. Just stays greyd out. Fsck_ext isn't running, so it's not that either.
Help?
