new airport express?

I realize that a new Airport Express is no. 12 on everyone's Top 10 most-desired Apple products, but is there any info/rumor/etc. other than the Sep 3 story that hinted at a refresh (which evidently didn't happen)?

I'm assuming they was to give the Airport Extreme a little while as the only router w/ 802.11ac, but anyone know how long that lead time has been historically?

Man, I feel stupid... I check Wikipedia for everything else in life, but it never occurred to me to check it for this. 4 year update cycle. Yeah, I think I'll go ahead and get a refurb and enjoy it for at least a couple of years as an adapter for my old stereo.
