Has anyone else noticed that the airport extreme base station has been reduced in price? Also, only one model (with modem and antenna port) is available now. With the release of airport express, does this signal the coming of something new--perhaps a base station with a firewire port that will allow multiple users to access an external hard drive wirelessly?

The reduction in price DOESN'T mean a new model. It so annyoing how everyone jumps to that conclusion. There isn't one coming, because what would they add to it? An audio port? Thats the express. 802.11x? That hasn't been invented yet. No new basestation.

I would agree with the great Jim Sowden. With Airport Express, Apple had to cut prices and did.

and btw, there are hard drives out there that have netowork ports on them for you to share.
