new Airport Time Capsule: issues with Apple TV?

been playing around with my apple tv this weekend and there's been a lot of latency and hangups-- i haven't been experiencing (or at least noticing) this type of lag on my macbook or ipad... just the apple tv.

is this a known common issue and if so is there a solution? or is there something else that could be the issue?

Oddly enough I have had a problem with my ATV3 and new TC too. A bit different though. All my devices connect to my new TC via wifi with no problem, except my ATV3. It will actually cause my internet to freeze on all my devices if I try and connect the ATV3 via wifi to TC. All the devices show wifi still connected, but I can not get any access to internet. If I connect ATV3 via ethernet, there is no problem with any of my other devices.
