i put my macbook in sleep mode..and next thing i know after taking out it after a few hours...the battery is all drained out flat because it turned on by itself while it was in the case..(not to mention case gets quite toasty)

Check the forum for other threads on this issue.
It could be one of these:
1. under System Preferences uncheck the box "Wake for Ethernet ..."
2. under System Preferences uncheck "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake ..."

This solved the problem for me and I never have this issue anymore.
This should help.

To NCMacGuy:

I don't know because I usually put it to sleep and put it in AppleSac when I have to carry it to class..

so I guess you could say that it only wakes up when I have to move it around..because when I put it to sleep and go to bed..i never experienced this issue when i woke up in the morning...

does it have to do with hdd fall detection?
