So I noticed my battery will charge up to 100% sometimes then drop to 99% and never go back up, all while staying plugged into the charger. Did a quick search on here but didnt find anything. Seems like a software problem to me, anyone else experiencing this?

my 2.4 aluminum does the same.. It is lame when it says that it is "charged" but it states that it is a 99% charge and doesn't increase.

Ive been doing some more searching on the web and seems like this is common "problem". Doesnt really seem like it is something we need to worry about too much.

I know what you mean about being really paranoid with this new notebook, I was nowhere near as anal about my first MacBook purchase.

Yeah, my old white MacBook did this as well. It's normal, and intermittent.

I think it is actually a feature. It does it so that the battery is not being constantly charged every time it goes below 100%. Once it goes below 95% it starts charging again up to 100% and the cycle repeats again. By using this method the battery should last longer.

Every Apple notebook does that. I don't think you can get it back up to 100 unless you let the battery drain a bit then charge it back up to full and it'll display 100 again.
