"No escape from Reality...”
Here is the newly remodelled Apple Store in Oak Brook, IL. It is the updated "Aluminum". It used to be the standard black on the front right and white Apple logo.

It's the same space, but better utilized. They got rid of the cash registers, and moved the Genius Bar to the back where the registers were. They made more space for product where the Genius Bar was.

For the holidays, part of the store is the "iPod" buying center. When I was there, a guy was trying to pay with cash. The salesperson gave him a funny look. Then said, "I have to go to the back of the store to take the cash". I guess the iPhone's not the only thing they are trying to get people to pay credit with...

I didn't mind the old oakbrook store layout, but since I went to the "aluminum" Orland Square location, I can say that I like that layout much better. I never really liked having the Genius bar where it was before in Oak Brook anyways.
