New AlumMacBook - Connecting to 26LG30

Hey Guys,

I just got my AlumMB (for 100 bucks as Genius Bar gave me a 1200 credit bc my WhiteBook was crapping out) and would like to connect it to my TV (26" LG30). I am under the assumption that I need the following:

mini displayport to DVI connected to a DVI to HDMI (is this correct?) I am on a limited budget so I want to get this right the first time. Also, I don't know which DVI to HDMI cable I need (DVI-I or DVI-D, etc.) which is why I am seeking your advice.

Am I on the right track with this:

You're not going to find HDMI - DVI cables at any retail store for that cheap.

That is a pretty good price, maybe try monoprice.com for other choices, you might get like another dollar off

Hey, thanks for the input. I went ahead and bought the minidisplayport to DVI and then the DVI to HDMI off of ebay for 4.50 with free shipping. Apple guy told me Radio Shack but that was a debacle on so many levels. Then Best Buy's was 59.99! If this Ebay one stinks it's only 5 bucks wasted, that I can live with. Otherwise I'll buy one that you guys recommend.

ETA: It is an HDMI to DVI-D one that I need for the minidisplayport to DVI adapter, right? Just really want to get this settled so a simple answer will do, thanks!

That cable from ebay should do. I am using something similar to connect my Mac mini to a Viewsonic monitor via HDMI (it has either VGA or HDMI). It worked without any problem.
