If you go to the special deals section of Apple's website you will see that they are selling new, unopened 1.8 Ghz G5s. Why wouldn't they just sale these at the normal Apple Store page? It looks as if they are clearing the way for Power Mac updates, no?

New

Power Mac G5 1.8GHz/512MB/160G/SuperDrive/PCI/GeFr5200 Add $2,099.00

Refurb

Power Mac G5 1.8 GHz 512MB/160GB/SuperDrive/GigE/56K Add $1,699.00

Power Mac G5 DUAL 2GHz 512MB/160GB/SuperDrive/GigE/56K $2,399.00

---

Since they don't sell the SP 1.8 machine in the Apple Store anymore you expect it to be found here.

And there's a chance some of the stock may be returns from wharehouse wholesalers like Ingram Micro.

yeah, i later noticed that is just the single 1.8 Ghz, so it is probably inconsequential to Power Mac updates.
