I'm building on my initial App ( https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=1858347#post1858347) but making it closer to the Front Row "Movie Trailer Section".
My initial design wasn't very usable taking too long to navigate to films. This new one has less animation and is very quick to navigate. Ive got 160 films on 5 shared network drives and this makes choosing one really easy, the GF loves it.
It'll work with over 900 ripped DVDs, pulling dvds from Windows & Mac shared folders, external drives or locally (as long as you have read write access). Opening up the movie in Apple DVD player.
It would also be possible to open avi, divx etc in specific applications as well by running another instance of the app.
Ive got a couple of questions before releasing it in any form
1. What screen sizes should I cater for?
2. Could I charge $5 - $10 for it?
3. Can anyone think of a name other than "Video_ts Launcher"?
4. Any other things I should consider?
I'd like to charge a small amount for it as;
1. Ive had to make it flexable for other peoples requirements, which has taken a lot longer than expected.
2. I've had to purchase some specific software to create it, and I'd like to recoup some of the cash.
Any help greatly appreciated & I hope to get it out by the end of the week
