New Apple Hire - Tim Dashwood

I picked up a few posts yesterday about Apple's recent hiring of Tim Dashwood. I didn't see any other posts here on MR Forums, so I'm posting it here FYI. And, he's made all of his plug-ins for video apps free.

Not that I'm aware of. I'm just a hack, for fun. I'd ask my video geek but she's on a 2-week vacation…

With the above and this, it looks like Apple is in a hurry to bolster its pro video offering. They need to speed things up. Looks like DaVinci Resolve Studio could be flirting with a price drop and solid new features at NAB that threatens just about every title in Apple's pro apps.

Personally, I think Adobe has a lot more to worry about with DaVinci Resolve than Apple. Apple has its own hardware to run its own apps. DaVinci Resolve has its own hardware that works with it as well. Adobes software relies on other platforms and its in dire need of a refresh.
