I like the new keyboard that comes with the iMacs. Do you all think it will be sold seperately?

well since they sell their current one separately i think it's obvious that they will with this new one

Looks like it, before the store went back down I managed to get a peek (As this is all im bothered about as well) and the picture have changed to the new one on the 'Mice and Keyboards' option, so yeah, id say so.

Cool!

I know this is wishful thinking, but I am going to stop at the apple store on the way home from work and see if they have any, just for kicks.

The wireless is $79, wired $49.

At first I thought, 'What a load of half ass,' but now I think about it, these old keyboards are hard to clean and look like crud within months of getting them. And they look cheap and awful as well.

I welcome the new keyboard.

Ugh. I hate it. When I come home and need to type a long document, I sure as hell don't want to go from using my MacBook keyboard to what's basically an external notebook keyboard. I also don't like the new key positions, or the fact the wireless keyboard is an exact replica of the MacBook keyboard. Why couldn't they have just kept it full size? I can see I'll be sticking with the old version as long as possible.

:D Whatevs' though.

Shame I bought a new keyboard 5 weeks ago...

Hey! I wonder if they'll swap it!;):D

Poor choice in making the BT keyboard a large dashboard remote control with no keypad. Ugh. Terrible. I don't want a wired so what choice do I have!?

In the Apple Store already?

Will these new keyboards be available in the Apple Store today if I happen to stop on the way home?

I wish i could like try it out for a week to see if I like it. It looks pretty unique, and I have little experience on the macbook keyboards.

Apple has a 30 day return policy right? Would they take back a week old keyboard? Maybe I could try it lightly for a while and return it if I don't like it. I love the current apple keyboard, but these are so secksi, and they prolly wont get dirty as quickly.

I've had these keypads for years and never properly used them.... farewell. I like everything about the new keyboard except the size of the space bar.

The new keyboards are nice, but I don't want to type like I'm typing on a laptop.

Plus the wireless one dropped the number pad, so I'm kinda glad I bought this wireless one a couple of weeks ago.

i think the new keys really make the whole keyboard clash with the imac. i mean, now that theres no white on the imac, the white keys stand out oddly. it probably looks nice with the old imacs though!

EDIT: here is an image from engadget, proving my point of the non matchiness of the white keys.

this is kind of what i'm thinking...it just doesn't look right to me. maybe it looks better in person???

i'll be stopping by an Apple Store this weekend to see it for myself...even though i won't be buying one.

I would have been in the market for a new BT keyboard as I love the keys on my iMac, but the main attraction of having the external keyboard is having the numeric pad, as I am an active excel (soon to be Numbers) user. The new BT keyboard is not something I would buy. So, I will probably be sticking with my current, now-out-of-date BT keyboard, as going wired isn't very appealing either.

Meh.

like many others, i would have liked to see (and would still like to see) a full-size wireless keyboard. i am definitely not going back to wired and i want the keypad. this was not a smart move on Apple's part.

maybe i'll change my mind once i see it in person, though.
