I am going to college and want to buy a new Apple laptop. I think everyone can agree that Apple's current laptops are due for a revision soon. My question is will they be ready in or before September? What happens if I have to get a current model, but then the new line comes out right after? Thanks for any help.

depending on how close it is, some times (i know my mate got his like this) they re-exchange it for the newer model.
But they might do rebate or something like that

Like Silver-fox said, I think if it's close enough they'd exchange it for the latest and greatest.
I used to get mad when I saw these types of threads and people said the following: Buy now if you need it now, or if you don't need it now then wait. But that really is the best thing to do in this case.
As far as the date, nobody really knows.

If you search the forums you will find literally dozens of threads with people discussing the same questions as yours. The bottom line is, no one but Apple knows what will be released and when.
