Apple today has received a new patent for a method of hardening a Sapphire screen to make it more resistent to cracking.

If all the FUD/noise about Apple not using Sapphire in the iPhone 6 is true, then it sure is strange how many patents Apple keep getting on the use of Sapphire...

They have several patents files recently about resonant wireless charging, but I don't expect to see that in an Apple product anytime soon.

I still think it'll be sapphire.

However Apple is probably utilizing <1% of their patents. Cant base anything they do off the patents they have.
