New Apple remote (2021) and Apple TV 4K 2021 will turn AVR on but not off

I got the new $K Apple TV 2021 and remote. Connected to a DENON AVR (2020 model) and from there to a SAMSUNG TV (also 2020 model)
HDMI-CEC is turned as well as ARC return. It actually works great turning it on. The new SIRI remote turns TV on, turns on and sets the DENON AVR to the correct input and controls sound. However, when I click the power OFF, the TV and Apple TV device go off, but the DENON remains ON. Tried this over and over. The HDMI cables are both new model 8K highly rated. Any ideas?

Have something similar in that everything turns off...but not my cable box. Guess its not supposed to turn off the box but my Samsung TV turns it (the box) on and off. Will keep playing with settings. Also take note that they'll probably be a slew of minor updates coming as problems are detected.
