New Apple Remote vs the older one

I need to buy a new Apple Remote as mine has seemingly vanished (I think it may have got thrown out ), so I need to buy one - but I've heard, aside from the obvious love/hate of its new aesthetics, that the new remote is also a bit bigger? How do people who've used both remotes feel about the new one?

I just LOVE the new remote! I've had both, but I've always had problems with the batteries getting a bit loose in the white remotes for some reason. That results in them being unreliable.

Played about with one of the new ones while in store today, they feel much better to hold and are bigger so harder to lose, I prefer it over the old style ones.
