Oh wow. They did a lot of work to improve that area. Last time I was there, I thought that station was going to collapse.

That store looks much better than the gas station that use to be there. Kudos to Apple for spending some big bucks on the CTA station as well, something that CTA can't afford these days. I could't wait to see what it looked like once the construction barriers went away. I also thought it was kind of funny that they had the Apple logo covered up for a few weeks before construction was totally finished.

I wish our Apple store looked like that. Ours is in a boring, sprawling, suburban mall. It's one of those outdoor malls that take up about 6 city blocks and has buildings that are supposed to look like some kind of Italian city or something.

Heh, my local Apple store is inside a shopping centre. It's quite plain-looking really. The shopping centre isn't that bad in terms of stores although I wish the Apple store was bigger.

I've never been to that section of Chicago but it looks as if Apple did a bang up job not only with the store but the surrounding area and subway station. Nice job over all and I'm sue the surrounding community is happy.

So, Lee, or anyone, do we have a t-shirt acquisition from this event, or what?? :p

Yes! I got a tee right at the door! It's black with green Apple leaves on it from the top of the Apple logo. Pretty cool. :)

BTW- did I mention how much I love the 11" MacBook Air? ;) I don't need one, but it's a great little machine. They did an excellent job with it. I am impressed.

Lee, did you take any pictures?
