Apple is opening a new store tomorrow at The Shops at Blackstone Valley, an open-air shopping center in Millbury, Massachusetts, near Worcester.

The store is set to open this Friday, December 12, at 12 p.m. local time. Apple is located next to fashion retailer Coach at the shopping center.

The new store is a replacement for Apple's previous location at Solomon Pond Mall, in nearby Marlborough, Massachusetts. That location permanently closed on Wednesday, after more than 10 years of operations. When it relocates a store, Apple typically gives all employees the opportunity to transfer to the new location.

Apple has yet to reveal the new store, but the photo below from local resident Steve Stearns provides a sneak peek at the facade.

Apple's newer stores typically feature a dedicated counter for customers to pick up orders they placed online, and the Genius Bar has become a prominent element again in recent years. There will also be free "Today at Apple" creative sessions.

Beautiful store 😎 1st time I’ve noticed Apple light up the border of the 🍎 logo

Good that Apple put those cement bollards in the front as well because 3 years ago we had a guy ‘drive thru’ the front of a different store here in MA

This store is so needed in this area. Does anyone know if Apple still gives out store specific shirts when they open a new store?

There are 2.2 times more Apple stores in Massachusetts than in India 😂.

It shows nicely where Apple's priorities are.
Also, where dollars are 🤑🤑🤑.

By the way, how many Apple Stores in Somalia ?

This is hysterically mind-boggling to me.

I'm only a 20-something, but my grandmother was born in Milbury about 110 years ago when it was nothing but farmland. It was such a nothing town, she felt the only way to escape and reach civilization was to move to New York City in the 30's. Even when I was growing up, there was nothing there - and to this day, my family members still refer to it as Milbury, R.F.D.

Now, it's got an Apple Store when even more populous areas of my own home state don't have one yet. Now that's progress.
