I just set up the new Apple TV 4K, and I'm trying to figure out how to program the power button so it powers on/off my TV, Receiver, and Apple TV at the same time. Isn't there a way to do this?

just received mine yesterday. Had it connected to a five year old Samsung TV’s HDMI 1 (STB/DVI) port. When I tried to turn off the TV by pressing apple Tv remote’s power button, there was a small pop up notification on the top right corner of screen saying something like long press to turn off the tv. And long press did. A bit less intuitive I think, but will get used to it.

as far as i can tell there's no home theater control in general. my receiver is old and it doesn't use CEC so maybe it would all work if it did. also my receiver is connected optically to the TV so not sure there's any CEC protocol for that since IIRC it is just a digital audio connection.

so i'm still left messing around with my Harmony keyboard to control the whole system. works OK but i hate the configuration app.

CEC is turning off my tv and receiver but when I turn it back on only my tv turns on and not the receiver…
